Its unique design propels warmer temperatures to the surface, preventing ice accumulation and maintaining a safe area around docks and boats. Importantly, the de-icer also supports aquatic life by ensuring open water areas for oxygen supply, even in sub-zero conditions.
Efficient Design
The Kasco 3400HD 3/4HP Pond De-Icer operates on a 240V single phase (60Hz) electrical system. To secure the unit, it comes equipped with robust 20ft (6m) mooring lines, ensuring stability and optimal performance through the winter months.
Enhanced Control Options
The De-Icer comes with optional C-10 and C-20 Control Panels (sold separately). The C-10 panel allows you to set the temperature activation point within a range of 0-80 degrees F, while the more advanced C-20 panel enables both temperature and time control, in a range of 0-40 degrees F. This flexibility allows for personalized operation based on your specific needs.
Mounting Options
To cater to different installation needs, the De-Icer offers optional Industrial and Universal Mounting kits (sold separately). The industrial kit, constructed from stainless steel and galvanized parts, can accommodate a 1.5 in./40mm threaded or unthreaded pipe provided by the customer and is ideal for challenging environments.
On the other hand, the Universal kit is perfect for mounting the unit to a dock or piling. With the ability to adjust angle and depth, it uses a customer-provided 1-inch threaded pipe for refined positioning.
